A quest-filled modpack with challenges for casual and hardcore players.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 94 graded mods, 21 are graded A or B, 20 C and 53 D to F. Its last update came out 5.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
Questing Mayhem is a long-term quest-focused modpack that brings together 82 mods and more than 1,400 quests in three questbooks, with content intended to suit both new or casual players and players looking for a demanding grind. The questbooks cover a broad range of play styles, including farming, technology, exploration, player-versus-player combat and adventuring, with questlines such as Cooking with Pam, Farming with Tech and Industrial Revolution. Custom recipes shape the challenge and progression: for example, the required Nether Star Generator x64 recipe calls for more than 4,000 stacks of Survivalist Generators, while other questlines guide players through crafting, resource gathering and machinery. The pack combines technology and automation mods such as Applied Energistics 2, Ender IO, Thermal Expansion and BuildCraft with farming and food mods such as AgriCraft, Pam’s HarvestCraft and Cooking for Blockheads, alongside magic and exploration content from Thaumcraft, Botania and The Aether II. It is designed for extended play, with a substantial questbook intended to run on modest computers and enough quest progression to occupy players over many months.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 2 Jul 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
5 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 20 Aug 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 97 of its 98 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 97 of its 98 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 38 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
60 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
