    About

    AE2 Lightning Tech extends Applied Energistics 2 with a lightning-powered automation and material-progression system, storing lightning energy in the ME network for use in machines and recipes. Players can collect natural strikes with a Lightning Collector or fabricate High Voltage and Extreme High Voltage lightning with a Tesla Coil; an Atmospheric Ionizer conditions the weather to produce clear, rain, or thunderstorm condensate. Its Overload Crystal progression grows through Damaged, Cracked, Flawed, and Flawless budding stages, with decay, Crystal Growth Accelerator support, and clusters as the final yield. Production machines include the Lightning Assembly Chamber for assembling components, the Lightning Simulation Room for indoor lightning transformation, the Overload Processing Factory for parallel processing, and the Crystal Catalyzer for bulk crystal crafting. The resulting Overload materials support upgrades to the ME network, including higher-throughput controllers, interfaces, pattern providers, and cables, plus a pattern encoder with byproduct slots and an Ignore NBT mode. Wireless Overloaded Controllers and Receivers connect pattern providers to remote machines without cables, with round-robin or balanced distribution.
