Build and fly an airship while gathering supplies in the sky.

FTB Skies 2 Aero is a skyblock modpack centered on building and using a flying base, with open-ended quests and a tailored progression designed to keep the journey moving without heavy gating or grind. Players can begin on a tiny minimalist island, in Compact Skies, on a classic airship, or aboard a void-going boat; the airship start provides a working home and transport suspended over the void, while the island start leaves players to build their way to flight. The custom Aero Scoop gathers raw materials from the sky while the ship is flying, and players can expand their craft with thrusters, turn it into a mobile factory, and travel between widely spaced islands and floating structures to find destinations, bosses, and loot. Air scoops, sieves, tempered jars, and sifters also provide a resource-gathering route, and quests can guide players or be set aside in favor of exploring the pack's mods freely. The pack combines engineering and storage systems such as Create, Modern Industrialization, Mekanism, and Applied Energistics 2 with magic from Ars Nouveau, Iron's Spells ’n Spellbooks, and Malum, alongside options for farming, resource production, and automation. Its endgame returns to the Piña Colada Craft: a multi-mod trophy requiring magic, technology, exotic materials, and substantial infrastructure, with the finished drink transporting the player to the Tropics when enjoyed in a lawn chair.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 22 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 28 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 478 of its 482 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 473 of its 476 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 37 of the 378 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
98 mods are not checked yet.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
