Araxer’s Bestiary is an in-game creature guide that helps players understand mobs and plan encounters or farms by showing their attributes, spawn information, descriptions, and loot. It discovers hostile and modded entities automatically, presents entries in a searchable interface with 3D mob previews, and can include loot drops and estimated or observed drop chances. By default, creature knowledge is earned through E-to-S ranks that advance deterministically with points for interactions such as defeating, feeding, trading with, taming, breeding, or observing entities with a spyglass; optional chance-based and kill-count progression are also available. Players can instead use sighting progression to discover creatures and unlock information by observing them with a spyglass, while configurable visibility can keep undiscovered entries or details hidden until earned. After reaching rank S, optional Rank-X challenges provide a further mastery goal, and notifications and a global progress bar can help track advancement. The Bestiary can read real loot tables and optionally refine drop chances through gameplay tracking; datapacks can add or override the loot information it displays, including for modded entities.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 3 areas:
MerchantResultSlotA library packed inside it changes 1 more game code file:
Forge Config API Port.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found in the parts we could check
We checked its files and read their code.
2 of its files for recent versions cannot be checked: its author does not let other sites download them from CurseForge.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends, in the 5 of its 7 files we read
We read its code: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
The author declares AI code and text on Modrinth
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
