    About

    Arda's Sculks expands Minecraft’s sculk ecosystem with new biomes, creatures, exploration, and equipment, while letting players open an ancient portal from the Ancient City to reach the Ancient World. Its five sculk-themed biomes include the open Sculk Plains, the arid Sculk Deserts, the colorful Wisterya Forest, the hazard-filled Soul Sculk Plains, and the Radioactive Balsa Forest. The Soul Sculk Plains add terrain hazards: their grass slows creatures, while nearby soul sensors can slow players further. Ancient Cities offer new materials and loot, including upgrade templates, and contain boss encounters such as the Sculk Golem; defeating it yields a sculk crystal for crafting a sculkerite multi-tool. Other formidable foes include the Radioactive Warden and Shadow Hunter, alongside hostile creatures such as the darkness-inducing Sculk Creeper, knockback-dealing Sculk Skeleton, flying Sculk Ghost, and powerful-armed Sculk Creaking. The mod also adds a Sculk Villager merchant for Ancient City and Deep Dark goods, as well as creatures such as Sculk Endermen, Sculk Foxes, and agile slimes that split when killed. Progression runs from sculk tools and weapons to sculkerite gear that surpasses Netherite, plus Sculk Arms with Warden-like strength and armor sets that grant special abilities. New plants and wood types support building and decoration, while Sculk Flowers can also serve as light sources. An Advanced Furnace is described as a way to upgrade Netherite equipment using molten iron and molten sculk, though the documentation marks the furnace as a work in progress.
