About
Asterism Arcanum is an addon for Iron’s Spells n’ Spellbooks that adds the Astral School of magic, designed around avoiding damage and keeping enemies at a distance. Its spells include Astral Echo, a long-range teleport that can be counterspelled, and Celestial Tether, which holds the caster in place while absorbing incoming attacks until the spell ends. Other combat options include Brightburst to knock nearby foes away, Star Swarm’s aimed projectile barrages, Starfire’s piercing and ricocheting shot, the explosive Starcutter, Luminous Beam, and Piercing Light’s close-range projectiles; Silvery Barbs can briefly protect pets, summons, and allies. The school can also summon a rideable Lunar Moth that moves slowly and attempts to defend its caster. The Astral Observatory, a mountain-generating structure overrun by hostile creatures, is home to the Astromancer and contains Lumine and Umbral Lumine decorative blocks. Dragonflies are aggressive observatory predators whose wings are used to craft astral spells and runes, while Lunar Moths can rarely appear on steep mountain peaks and their eggs can be found by sniffers, thrown at enemies, or used to hatch more moths. The addon also adds Astral Armor, a Celestial Staff, the Astrolabe Spellbook, and a Dragonfly Comb, alongside the moth and observatory content. The Astral Sea dimension, Astral Gateway spell, and Stellar Talisman are currently creative-only content rather than features available in Survival.
