    Better Enchantment Boosting relaxes bookshelf placement restrictions so you can fit enchanting setups into a wider range of builds. Bookshelves can provide enchantment power from up to three blocks away horizontally, two blocks above, or one block below the table, with the search area configurable; they must still have air between them and the table, though the gap need not be a straight line. Candles can also boost the table, with each candle providing a configurable amount of power, and chiseled bookshelves contribute power for each filled slot. Chiseled bookshelves can hold enchanted books that influence which enchantments the table is likely to offer, while higher-level books can raise the maximum enchantment level; options control whether this applies to treasure enchantments and curses.
