    About

    Better Snowy Features gives snowy and frozen biomes a more consistent winter look by changing the appearance and behavior of vegetation and selected terrain blocks. Trees that generate or grow in these biomes receive snowy leaves, while grass, tall grass, ferns, large ferns and vines use snowy textures. Grass blocks remain visibly snowy even without a snow layer, and plants can grow within snow without leaving holes because snow beneath qualifying plants is rendered visually. The full version also generates icicles beneath tree leaves, and snowy overlays can appear on stone, sand, blue ice, gravel and spruce planks covered by snow blocks or layers. Configuration lets users toggle features and select snowy biomes, including through automatic cold-biome detection or biome lists; datapacks can also adjust biome coverage.
