Cattlestrophic! adds animal survival and husbandry mechanics, making animals age and wild animals die of old age while domesticated animals can also starve if left unfed. Animals spawned naturally or from eggs are wild, while breeding produces domesticated animals that live longer; wild animals are harder to breed, cannot be leashed until domesticated, and yield less loot, while domesticated animals receive a loot bonus. Keep domesticated animals fed with Animal Feed or a nearby Feeding Trough stocked with food, which restores hunger over time; an inspection tool reveals an animal’s age and hunger, and particle effects signal when it is nearing old age or critically hungry. The mod is highly configurable, including aging, hunger, growth, breeding, feeding, and age limits, with settings that can be adjusted for individual vanilla or modded animals.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 4 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds 1 block: Feeding Trough; 2 items: Animal Feed and Animal Inspector; 2 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its images
ChatGPT is named in the images in its files.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
