Clanging Howl is a sci-fi horror survival mod that brings extraterrestrial activity, advanced technology, and hostile techno-flesh parasites to Minecraft, with a particular focus on cold biomes. Players find extraterrestrial objects across the world, especially in cold regions, where they can mine resources such as Extraterrestrial Steel and energy crystals and encounter alien lifeforms. The mod also adds research cabins and stations containing loot for crafting gadgets and powerful enchantments, with some stations harboring Consummate Nests that summon successive waves of creatures and regenerate so players can return for more fights. Every 15 nights, a meteor shower brings falling, damaging meteorites and a heightened chance of infection, while preventing sleep; a Barrier of Extraterrestrial Activity can protect an area from the event. Its parasites favor cold and fear fire, can infect animals, villagers, and other mobs before transforming them, and grow more resilient as survival continues; setting them alight suppresses their adaptive damage resistance. Named threats include the wall-crawling, venom-spitting Heart of Decay, the infection-spreading Extraterrestrial Reaper, the aggressive Flesh Maiden, and the explosive Hematoma, which spreads infection when it dies. Futuristic building and utility blocks include varied extraterrestrial stone, steel and calcite tiles, a Stationary Charging Station for advanced tools, and a Crystal Former that grows energy crystals while creating a cold zone that can freeze nearby creatures and water.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
