Classic Peripherals extends CC: Tweaked with additional computer peripherals and changes to existing ones, including tools for communication, data handling, and sensing. Its Radio Towers are buildable multiblock transmitters and receivers: towers can reach up to 3,072 blocks, with each added segment increasing range, and a single-block mini antenna can connect pocket computers or turtles to tower networks. Radio messages use tunable frequencies and can carry up to 8 MiB by default; tower range depends on height, and signals become less reliable beyond 85% of their range. NFC Readers can read and write data on NFC Cards, which can hold up to 128 characters by default and can be made permanently read-only; cards can also carry keys for signing data. The RFID Scanner wirelessly scans for badges within eight blocks, returning their data and distance; badges can store data and be injected into living entities for scanning. A Cryptographic Accelerator provides hashing, secure random values, AES encryption, Ed25519 signatures, X25519 key exchange, and data compression for computer programs. The Scanner reads printed paper, returning its text and color information. The addon also provides a Body Area Network API that lets a player's holdable and equippable computers communicate using a modem-like interface. Its Ender Modem tweak limits range to twice that of a normal wireless modem and restricts cross-dimensional messages to nearby matching coordinates, while the Redstone Relay enhancement includes the relay's network name in redstone events.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 2 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and Inventory and itemsChanges 1 game code file in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting..
Adds 9 blocks, 3 items and 13 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

More modpacks put it in their new versions than a year ago: 9 a month now, 0 a year agoThe average of the last 6 months, compared with the same 6 months a year before. We say it only when the change is large..
43 modpacks include Classic Peripherals in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.
Mods that modpacks often add together with Classic Peripherals. Share: how many of the modpacks with Classic Peripherals also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
