FTB Evolution is a kitchen-sink modpack that brings together technology, magic, resource production, and exploration for players who want to build, automate, and adventure in the same world. Its technology systems include Mekanism’s progression from ethylene power to fusion reactors, alongside machinery and automation from Immersive Engineering, Extended Modern Industrialization, RF Tools, Ender IO, and Actually Additions, plus advanced storage and crafting through Applied Energistics. Magic-focused play includes Ars Nouveau, Occultism, and Iron’s Spells, with custom spell creation, spirit summoning, and enchanted tools, while Mystical Agriculture and Productive Bees offer alternative ways to produce resources. Exploration spans overhauled landscapes from Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone and Terralith, resource-rich Infinity Caves, underwater discoveries with NauTec, and the dimensions of The Afterdark and Eternal Starlight, with dungeons from Dungeon Crawl and Yung’s Enhancement Suite to explore. Just Dire Things adds resource-powered gadgets and machines, and a customized Puffishskills progression lets players develop abilities for different builds; loot crates add surprises during encounters. Quests lead toward the FTB Pyramid’s endgame challenges and powerful creative items, while integrated shaders give the world more vibrant visuals.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 12 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 12 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 526 of its 529 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 522 of its 525 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 34 of the 423 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
102 mods are not checked yet.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
