FTB StoneBlock 4 is an underground survival modpack built around carving out a home and progressing through a story-rich world of stone. Players begin in the Garden of Stone, an amethyst-lit underground glade, and choose one of five starting islands, ranging from a classic stone enclosure to biome-themed starts. Six Foundation Chapters guide progression through branching questlines: completing two paths advances the journey, while finishing all three reveals deeper lore and premium rewards. Handcrafted Vaults offer logic puzzles, combat encounters, and endurance trials, rewarding exploration with rare loot, unique resources, and materials needed for progression. Holographic Echoes inhabit handcrafted sanctuaries, where guides such as the Echo of Guidance, the Machinist, and the Quartermaster unlock quests, share the world’s history, and offer trades. The World Engine is a central relic that develops through more than 15 multiblock upgrades, opening crafting tiers, recipes, and lost technologies before reshaping the world. Resource gathering starts with brushing ore chunks from gravel, sand, and dust, then expands to ultisifting and the Unearther, where a villager refines supplied debris and becomes more efficient with food, tools, and upgrades. The pack combines mechanical and industrial automation from Create and Mekanism with magic from Ars Nouveau and Occultism, alongside item replication, Twilight Forest exploration, breedable resource-producing Chickens, and Fluid Cows. It supports solo or cooperative play, with FTB Team Bases and options to host or access managed multiplayer worlds through the FTB client.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 21 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 12 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 415 of its 418 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of 405 of its 407 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 23 of the 313 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
94 mods are not checked yet.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
