Fresh combat changes add new ways to fight and defend.
No points lost.
70.9 of the 71 points that apply = 99.9, so 99 out of 100: only a project that lost no point gets 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
Combat Nouveau adapts features from Mojang’s Combat Tests and adds customizable changes to Minecraft’s combat and item use. Combat can be tuned so changing hotbar items does not trigger the attack cooldown, missed attacks can avoid triggering it, low-cooldown attacks can be disabled, and holding the attack button can repeat attacks; the latter two missed-hit and repeat options are disabled by default. Swords, hoes, and tridents gain extra attack reach while the usual reach remains unchanged, and small targets such as fish, rabbits, silverfish, and baby mobs receive larger hitboxes. Sweep attacks require Sweeping Edge, deal half their usual damage, and can occur even when an attack misses; shields knock attackers back, activate without their usual delay, cover a narrower 100-degree arc, and display a use indicator. Other changes include larger stack sizes for snowballs, eggs, and potions, faster drinking of potions, milk, and bottled liquids, and a brief delay before throwing eggs or snowballs. Eating and drinking are interrupted by attacks, projectile hits no longer grant brief damage immunity, and hitting a target no longer stops sprinting, including while swimming. Players can also hide certain passively held offhand items, such as totems of undying. The mod is configurable, with available settings adjustable in-game where supported or through configuration files.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 4 areas: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 3 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act., Inventory and itemsChanges 3 game code files in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting., Game coreChanges 2 game code files in this area: the main loop, lighting and other code the whole game uses. and PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls..
A library packed inside it changes 11 more game code files: Reach Entity Attributes.
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its text
The author declares AI text on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
