MC Eternal 2 is an open-ended kitchen-sink modpack that brings exploration, combat, magic, technology, building, and farming together, letting players choose their own mix of activities. Its hundreds of optional quests and challenges offer guided goals across the pack, beginning with a mysterious letter from the Questmaster; completing quests earns Quest Coins for a shop whose trades unlock as players progress. Exploration ranges across dozens of biomes, custom dimensions such as the Great Below, and hundreds of dungeons, structures, and bosses, with secrets, collectables, custom titles, artifacts, and distinctive boss drops to seek out. The Great Below is a spooky mining dimension with a specific resource role: Osmium spawns there, and large ore deposits are limited to it and the Dwarven Depths. For magic, players can craft spells with Ars Nouveau, pursue arcane and dark magic with Iron's Spells and Spellbooks and Goety, or blend magic and technology through Biomancy. Technology gameplay includes Create-powered factories and trains, Mekanism ore processing and fission and fusion reactors, power armor, jetpacks, mining lasers, and interdimensional teleportation. Players can also establish a MineColonies town with workers, citizens, and builders, or pursue a collectible-focused side activity through extensively overhauled fishing and its hundreds of treasures. The pack adds hundreds of Tinkers' Construct materials through its custom Tinker Tantrum addon and includes an in-game tutorial for new players. It supports multiplayer and provides a server pack for hosting locally.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 16 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 9 Jul 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 642 of its 649 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
13 mods send something about you
We read the code of 606 of its 610 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 34 of the 499 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
111 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
