    Critical Strike adds chance-based critical hits to melee and ranged combat, replacing vanilla jump criticals with a system inspired by Minecraft Dungeons; weapons, arrows, and other projectiles can trigger bonus damage on a critical hit. Critical strikes feature customizable sparkle bursts, rising skulls, or expanding impact rings, along with two sound variants whose pitch varies; effect colors and separate melee and ranged sound volumes can be configured. Critical chance and damage can be increased with the Critical Hit and Critical Impact enchantments, which work on swords, axes, bows, crossbows, and other weapons, or with corresponding beneficial status effects available as regular, splash, and lingering potions and as tipped arrows.
