A new sculk-filled dimension for you to explore.

Deeper Dark adds a sculk-filled dimension of caves and caverns where exploration combines treasure hunting with dangerous encounters. Its main biome features abundant sculk, blue fog, fossil deposits containing diamonds, sculk traps, and ancient villages; other regions include cavernous expanses with ancient fortresses, volcanic caverns with basalt and a central lava river, and amethyst mines covered in amethyst, calcite, and smooth basalt. The Deep Oasis offers a contrasting sculk-free refuge high in the caves, with plants, hanging vines, and sniffer nests, while the Ancient Dark is a red-fogged cavern of deep sculk, bone-block formations, and lava lakes, enclosed by an obsidian barrier. Structures include smaller ancient villages, castle-like ancient fortresses with combat loot, sculk traps containing enchanted books and experience bottles, amethyst mineshafts with farms and supply rooms, and damaged laboratories hidden in the Ancient Dark. Amethyst mineshafts are patrolled by fast, powerful Shockwaves, which players can evade by sheltering against a wall and enclosing themselves in blocks; the mineshafts also hold altar fragments used to build and upgrade sculk converters. In the Ancient Dark, touching sculk alerts the biome and begins spawning wardens, making its unique sculk blocks and laboratories especially hazardous to explore. Sculk converters turn items into new resources and equipment using experience and soul fire, and can also add compatible enchantments to items; recipes include reinforced deepslate, activated sculk shriekers, and blindness potions. The dimension introduces sculk enchantments such as Clearsight, which protects against blindness and dark fog, Sonic Boom, which lets players use a warden-like ranged attack, Darkspeed, which boosts movement in complete darkness, and Shrieker Sense, which reveals shriekers through walls. Entry is through a portal in an ancient city, using an echo shard, and leaving requires an enchanted shard at another reinforced deepslate; a nearby warden prevents departure until it moves away or despawns.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 7 biomes, 1 dimension, 7 structures, 7 enchantments, 1 recipe, 32 advancements and 37 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
