This author published several projects at once on Modrinth: up to 5 projects published within 2 weeks. 6 of the author's 16 projects have only one release and no source code link. A series of small add-ons is often published this way. It does not change the grade.
Distant Horizons SeedGen is an add-on for Distant Horizons that accelerates distant terrain generation without replacing Distant Horizons’ own generator. It calculates terrain from the world seed rather than fully generating each area, approximating features such as trees and placing structures at their correct coordinates so distant landscapes can appear in detail sooner. It supports noise-based terrain generation mods, including Tectonic, Lithosphere, Terralith, JJThunder, and Continents, and can work with custom structure mods; terrain mods that use incompatible custom generators or mixins may not work. For server generation, it can generate terrain quickly when Distant Horizons and SeedGen are installed on both client and server and the server’s terrain-changing mods and datapacks are also available client-side; if these conditions are unmet, it reports the issue and stops. In multiplayer, generation is slower because of Distant Horizons and network limitations, and once an area has been explored, Distant Horizons saves its terrain normally.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Rendering and graphicsChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
