    About

    Equine+ expands SWEM with a customizable horse-care and veterinary overhaul focused on more detailed, realistic horse management. A horse health interface records its age, personality, illnesses, and other care information, while numerical horse IDs help distinguish animals. Horses age through weanling, yearling, adolescent, adult, and senior stages, with configurable age values and a three-day old-age sequence in which symptoms appear, the horse rests, and it is eventually replaced by a chest containing a memento. Horses can develop illnesses and injuries such as colic, broken bones, cataracts, arthritis, laminitis, Lyme disease, mange, and contagious infections; grooming, hoof care, fly spray, ice packs, and vaccinations help prevent some conditions, while treatments range from medicines and injections to surgery. Players with veterinary access can diagnose horses, vaccinate them, perform surgery, and treat conditions using functional tools such as a stethoscope, X-ray machine, surgery kit, and syringe. Farrier care adds a timed hoof-trimming routine using pincers, a hoof knife, nippers, and a rasp, followed by optional shoeing; racing plates and keg shoes can boost speed, while egg-bar and heart-bar shoes help manage particular hoof conditions. Players can create and assign functional brands that appear in the horse’s health information, and configuration can set a cost for creating brands on servers with an economy. The addon also includes horse-care tokens for effects such as instant healing, protection from illness, or stopping aging, and it works with both base SWEM and SWEM Addendum horses.
