Star Worm Equestrian expands Minecraft’s horse-focused play with custom horse models and animations, distinct walk, trot, canter, and gallop gaits, training and bonding, and 112 coat patterns. Players can turn vanilla horses into SWEM horses using a potion brewed from underground or mountain-found Cantazarite, then equip them with a bridle, saddle blanket, saddle, and girth strap to ride. The mod adds functional English, Western, and Adventure tack, including bridles, saddles, girths, blankets, leg wraps, ear nets, and breastcollars, along with racks for saddles, bridles, and armor. Horse care includes food and water needs, foals, feeders, buckets, troughs, and stall doors; when food or water needs are enabled, neglect can reduce health and prevent horses from moving up to faster gaits. Horse armor ranges from cloth through iron, gold, diamond, and amethyst tiers, adding perks such as faster healing, magic protection, frost walking, and lava walking with fire resistance; amethyst armor also has wings, with flight available in some supported versions. Pasture blankets and armored pasture blankets come in 16 colors, and plains-world farm ruins offer a starter homestead with stalls, a barn stocked with horse-care supplies, a well, and crops including oats, timothy grass, and alfalfa. Configurable server settings let players adjust horse needs and related behavior, while client settings include options such as showing a HUD for the horse’s current gait.
