Extended Mushrooms expands mushroom gameplay with new fungi, mushroom-themed blocks and wood, items, recipes, and a passive mushroom sheep called the Baashroom. Small mushrooms can grow into huge mushrooms over time, and placing four mushrooms in a 2×2 arrangement can produce a mega mushroom; growth conditions can be configured. The added mushroom families include glowing Glowshrooms, honey-like Honey Fungus, poisonous mushrooms, and Slime Fungus, with distinctive colors and effects such as light, slowness, poison, or leaping clouds from their caps. Mushroom stems provide wood for planks and familiar building pieces, while mushroom caps can serve as wool-like blocks; some caps also yield useful materials such as Glowstone Crumbs, Honey Blobs, and Slime Blobs. The Fairy Ring offers a special way to combine items: arrange eight mushrooms or fungi in a circle, then toss in ingredients to trigger recipes that fuse them with visual particles and sounds. Baashrooms can be sheared for mushroom-cap wool, regrow it by eating mycelium, and change color when fed different mushrooms; mushroom spores can also turn sheep into Baashrooms, dirt into mycelium, and cows into Mooshrooms. The mod also adds Mushroom Bread and Grilled Mushroom, alongside mushroom-based crafting and useful conversions through its Fairy Ring recipes.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: World generationChanges 1 game code file in this area: terrain, biomes and structures made when new land is created. and Blocks and fluidsChanges 1 game code file in this area: how blocks, fluids and redstone work..
Adds 103 blocks, 16 items, 1 mob, 8 boats, 216 recipes, 6 loot tables and 2 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
The author declares on Modrinth that it shows advertisements.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
