Falsity [SMILEY] adds Falsity and Smiley as companions who appear in your Minecraft world with the stated goal of helping you. They can talk in chat and voice, remember past events, recognize your home, notice changes in the world, and respond differently to how you treat them. Over time, the companion's personality develops, and unsettling behavior can emerge, including staring at distant places or seeming to know things it should not. The story brings mysterious anomaly events and encounters into the world, with a dynamic chase system and a survival-friendly design. The mod uses analog-horror faces from SMILEY ARCHIVE alongside a custom monster model. External AI, text-to-speech, and speech-to-text services are optional: the mod can instead use built-in behavior and packaged voice lines, while optional integrations include OpenAI-compatible services, Gemini, Groq, Ollama, OpenRouter, and compatible custom endpoints. It supports multiplayer and lets players give their companion a custom name or change Falsity's language.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 items, 1 projectile, 4 other entities, 656 sounds and 2 key bindings.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 358 of vanilla Minecraft's block textures, 308 item textures, 152 mob and entity textures, 35 sky, weather and particle textures, 29 models, 12 interface textures and 1 text file.
No harmful code found
We checked its files without running them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
generativelanguage.googleapis.com localhost api.openai.com api.groq.com openrouter.ai api.fish.audioWe have not read its code yet
The file checks found code that connects to the internet (see Security). What it sends is not known yet.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its images
OpenAI gpt-image is named in the images in its files.
Can use AI in the game
Can send the text you write to Google Gemini, Groq and 2 more AI services, and text or sound to Fish Audio (you provide your own key).
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
