Fights&Frights is a vanilla-inspired monster expansion that adds hostile creatures, minibosses, and bosses to make exploration and combat more unsettling. Its creatures include underground ambushers called Terrantulas, Ghast-like Banshaas that summon nearby monsters with their screams, poisonous-gas-spitting Scowls, and Mimic Beetles that gather into larger forms to defend ore deposits. Other additions include the iron-bodied Pioneer, the disguising Mimentis, the fast, effect-inflicting Grimmsquito, and biome-dwelling Allmen, Seers, and Patutis; some creatures are limited to particular environments, while most follow ordinary monster spawning rules. Players can also encounter bosses summoned with Ominous Hexes, and the Reanimated miniboss, which is called forth by striking a special structure with a Channeling trident. Monster drops and ingredients support a broad set of uses, from potions and foods that change speed, visibility, mobility, or combat effects to tools such as the Mimentis Claw, which can propel its wielder or pull mobs closer. Craftable equipment and blocks include mix-and-match Monstrous Armor whose buffs depend on its ingredients, more durable Ominous Armor, explosion-resistant Jelly blocks, and technological blocks powered by charged flesh and chips. The mod also adds practical and playful devices, including a redstone display, a player-controlled Circuit Lever, a hopper-compatible Trashcan that turns discarded items into Slop, and a Dreamcatcher that rewards regular sleep with experience and effects, though nightmares can bring a downside. Gamerules let server or world owners control monster spawning and selected features, including infection, Mimic Beetles, and boss rituals.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 65 blocks, 97 items, 39 mobs, 1 biome, 1 painting, 130 recipes, 14 advancements, 15 loot tables and 70 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 3 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 1 point.
