About
Flint Instead of Wood changes the opening stage of survival by removing wooden-tool recipes and replacing them with flint tools, so players begin by gathering flint from gravel rather than punching trees. The toolkit includes a flint spade that increases the chance of finding flint in gravel by 25%, along with a hoe, axe, tool head, knife, and pickaxe that leads toward stone and iron. The flint knife has a fast attack speed but short reach, and the mod can replace wooden tools found in loot tables with flint tools. Optional settings can make breaking logs without a tool hurt the player or prevent players from breaking logs without an axe; log damage is enabled by default, while the axe requirement is disabled by default.
