About
Foundry adds a metalworking system for melting ores and metals into liquid, combining metals into alloys, and casting the results into items, including tools, armor, gears, and plates from other mods. Its machines include melting crucibles heated by solid-fuel burner heaters or powered induction heaters, with refractory hoppers and spouts to move liquid metal between blocks. Casting tables solidify liquid metal into ingots, plates, or rods, which can be collected by hand or automated with hoppers and other item-handling systems. Players can craft molds by carving patterns into refractory clay at a Mold Crafting Station and firing them for use in casting. The mod also includes refractory and inferno tanks for storing fluids, a Metal Infuser that infuses items directly into liquid metal, and a Coke Oven that turns coal into Coal Coke. Foundry adds ammunition such as Lumium rounds and shells, which deal extra damage to undead at the cost of reduced damage to other targets, and snow rounds, which have a similar trade-off against Endermen and Blazes.
