About
Gauges and Switches adds configurable devices for producing, detecting, and displaying redstone power, combining familiar controls with sensors and indicators in a range of styles. Manual options include buttons, levers, and contact mats, with some mats reacting to shocks such as a falling object and others configurable to respond to selected entities. Automatic devices include day and interval timers, rain, lightning, and local-light sensors, plus detectors for entities and blocks such as ores, water, wood, crops, and saplings. Block detectors scan a line ahead and let players choose categories to match, while entity detectors can be configured by entity type, count, and range. Gauges display measured redstone strength on a 0-to-15 analog or digital scale, while indicators show whether power is present through lights, blinking displays, sounds, or alarms. Redstone-sensitive glass can change color or transparency, or emit light, when powered; trapdoor switches open when triggered and produce a signal. Switch outputs can generally be adjusted for strong or weak power and inverted or non-inverted behavior, and pulse duration can be set using redstone dust. Ender-pearl links allow supported switches to activate remote targets or relay signals through chains, with options for responding to a source switch turning on, turning off, or changing state. Device styles include industrial, retro-industrial, rustic, old-fancy, and glass series, which can be selected for inclusion or exclusion in a modpack.
