    About

    GregTech CE: Unofficial is a community-developed fork and rewrite of GregTech Community Edition focused on a technology-driven progression from crude resource-processing tools through steam machinery and into increasingly complex electrical ages. Players build industrial production lines with single-block and multiblock machines, processing ores and other resources into materials for higher-tier equipment, powered by generators ranging from wood-fired steam systems to plasma turbines. Its progression includes extensive machine-based processing, with examples such as alloy smelting, maceration, chemical reactions, distillation, assembly, and fusion, alongside increasingly capable power and logistics systems. The mod reworks fluid pipes and energy cables and adds configurable, high-throughput item pipes, while its world generation features rebalanced ores and virtual fluid veins for harvesting. It also adds quality-of-life changes such as preventing different stone variants of ores from filling inventories, and includes emissive textures and bloom effects for machinery and other blocks. Digital Interface Covers can monitor and interact with machine fluids, items, energy, and operating state, and can act as proxies for a configurable Central Monitor that displays information from connected machines.
