About
GregTech Food Option (GTFO) extends GregTech with long, realistic, resource-intensive recipe chains that make producing food an additional automation challenge. For example, its popcorn chain combines popcorn in a paper bag, then cooks it with kernels and flavoring in an electric blast furnace; the flavoring uses salt, seed oil, β-carotene, and buttery compounds, including 2-acetylpyridine made through a chemical-plant reaction. The mod also adds food-processing machines such as the Electric Baking Oven, Slicing Machine, Cuisine Assembler, and Microwave, as well as two redstone-powered machines for handling mobs. It includes recipe chains for Actually Additions coffee and NuclearCraft S'more S'mingots, and lets players configure these additions. When AppleCore is present, vanilla foods lose hunger and saturation as GregTech progression advances by default, encouraging a shift to the mod's food recipes.
