A challenging technology pack built around research and industrial machines.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 181 graded mods, 73 are graded A or B, 24 C and 84 D to F. Its last update came out 13 months ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
GregTech Quantum Transition is a technology-focused modpack built around scientific research, chemical engineering, and industrial multiblock machinery, with a substantially expanded GregTech progression. Its progression runs from crash-landing on an unfamiliar planet and gathering ores through steam-powered workshops, petrochemicals, advanced circuits, cleanrooms, rockets, and space stations, eventually reaching particle colliders, advanced materials, and nuclear research. The pack adds around 180 custom multiblocks, 260 in total, with distinctive upgrades and parallel-processing mechanics; research computers and lithography machines support its computing and manufacturing systems. Production chains include petroleum distillation, halogen processing, and photoresist manufacturing, alongside high-purity silicon, specialty steels, and other advanced materials. An optional magic-focused chapter brings together systems such as Botania, Blood Magic, and Thaumcraft, using more than 30 mystical multiblocks to support industrial production and connect magic with technology. Exploration includes distinctive biomes, ruins, more than 120 randomized relics, interconnected dimensions, and cave networks with underground rivers, stalactites, varied rocks, and reshaped ore veins. Players also contend with tougher nighttime threats and a detailed food and cuisine system, while building factories, gardens, or space stations with decorative construction tools. Quest chapters cover technology, magic, and specialties such as space exploration, petrochemicals, and bioengineering, with server and single-player options including shops, milestones, sign-in rewards, and difficulty selection.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 14 Sep 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 7 Sep 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 188 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 187 of its 188 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 98 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
90 mods are not checked yet.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
