GregTech Community Edition is a community-made rewrite of GregTech focused on technology-driven progression, resource processing, performance, and balance. Players advance from crude tools and more realistic resource processing through steam-powered machinery and into increasingly complex electrical ages, building industrial facilities with single- and multiblock machines that turn raw resources into materials for higher-tier equipment. Its power systems span wood-burning steam boilers and generators to plasma-powered turbines, while early progression includes scouting copper, iron, and tin veins, grinding and mixing copper and tin into bronze, and using a bricked blast furnace to make steel for electric machines. Ore veins and other features such as oil sources and stone formations appear in the world, with surface indicators that can help players locate nearby deposits. World generation is configurable through JSON definitions, letting players adjust vein shapes such as ellipsoids, spheres, plates, or small single-block deposits, as well as their contents, dimensions, biomes, and generation conditions. The mod also provides an in-game ore-generation reference through JEI, including vein names, descriptions, and dimension names.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds 2 blocks, 1 item, 1 enchantment, 115 recipes and 1 loot table.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
