Build a huge factory through a challenging, open-ended modpack.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 191 graded mods, 77 are graded A or B, 30 C and 84 D to F. Its last update came out 19 months ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
GregTech: Beyond is a complex, quest-guided GregTech modpack built around custom progression and the freedom to shape your own factory. Its progression spans power tiers from LV toward MAX, with custom production chains that lead from early silicon boules and electric blast furnaces into chemical processing and increasingly involved manufacturing. A questbook with more than 1,500 quests explains tasks and progression, while the pack adds over 200 custom items and blocks, over 500 fluids, and more than 700 GregTech materials. The mod selection combines GregTech and Gregicality with NuclearCraft, QMD, PneumaticCraft, Applied Energistics, Thermal, Forestry, and other technology and automation mods. Optional side paths include Thaumcraft and its addons for magic, Forestry bees for building an agricultural empire, and Galacticraft-based space exploration, with planetary mining and space missions. The pack also features custom biology centered on enzymatic modification and virus breeding.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 13 Mar 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 24 Feb 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 193 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 193 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 99 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
94 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
