Build and automate huge factories with a helpful quest guide.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 144 graded mods, 55 are graded A or B, 31 C and 58 D to F. Its last update came out 3.7 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Nomifactory is a quest-driven expert tech modpack about automating large-scale factories, with a custom progression centered on GregTech: Community Edition and its Shadows of Greg extension. Its Quest Book serves as both a guided progression path and a practical reference, helping players learn the pack’s systems as they advance from basic survival through GregTech power tiers toward creative-in-survival. The pack pares back grind while retaining intricate crafting, skipping the steam age and opening up resource generation through Deep Mob Learning, Oil Drilling Rigs, and Micro Miners rather than relying on extensive material hunting. Factory automation is supported by Applied Energistics 2, whose channels are disabled by default but can be enabled for a more demanding setup, alongside GregTech automation and power integration with Thermal Expansion and EnderIO. The pack is designed for peaceful factory building without forced combat or exploration, and disables especially punishing hazards such as machine or reactor explosions and radiation.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 29 Jan 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 13 Dec 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 150 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 150 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 81 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
69 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
