    About

    Halcyon is a magitech exploration and factory-building mod that tells a story of reconciliation through discoveries about forgotten machinery, its architects, and a scarred past. Players explore familiar and alien realms, uncover history in new structures, and encounter a changing world whose hidden truths emerge as they progress. Factory play centers on machines powered by the Tides, along with logistics for moving materials and tools for processing resources and building with thematic blocks such as obsidian and copper. Progression is data-driven and combines exploration and experimentation with puzzle-solving, using a Data Tablet to organize discoveries and unlock entries through Data Banks; some entries involve puzzles such as Minesweeper, connecting Essence-matched wires, and tracing Essence flows. World-traversal tools include a grappling hook, and the Signal Tracker can help locate registered structures as exploration advances. The Song of the Factory grows into a musical record of the player's endeavors. Integrations include Tide-driven processing for Applied Energistics 2 materials, recipe-display support for EMI with progression-based recipe hiding, chemical-transfer Nodes and Wires for Mekanism, and processing or energy uses for materials from Malum and Pastel. Other integrations add Opal-colored Traversite Road blocks through Opalescence, reduced-cost Oritech alloy recipes, Resonance Receptor help locating Malum targets and Primal Magick shrines, and more efficient Refined Storage component crafting.
