Handwerk is a vanilla-style content mod focused on speeding up resource gathering, terraforming, and farming while adding building blocks and ore variants that fit naturally into the world. Tools can be reforged from iron or gold to diamond with a Reforging Rune that preserves enchantments and wear, then upgraded to netherite using a vanilla smithing template; Wide Reach expands area effects, while Magnetism draws mined or harvested drops to the player and, at level II, also pulls in experience. The Lodestar Charm attracts nearby dropped items and experience, works from the off-hand, and can use a dedicated accessory slot with Ohmega or Trinkets Updated. Building additions include slabs, stairs, and trapdoors for many vanilla blocks, including dirt path, Crying Obsidian, and Magma; their variants retain base-block effects, while grass variants change with snowfall and grass slabs and stairs are biome-tinted. The mod also adds small, large, and redstone-powered lanterns in materials such as copper, amethyst, and diamond, plus redstone chains that conduct power along their axis. Coal, copper, iron, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, and emerald ores appear embedded in granite, diorite, andesite, and tuff, with sulfur and cinnabar variants in sulfur caves; these blocks retain ore behavior and use the host rock’s vanilla texture, so resource-pack rock textures carry over. Optional quality-of-life features include configurable fast leaf decay and a plain-shovel toggle between dirt and dirt path, and a dedicated advancement tab guides players through tool crafting, upgrades, and a first redstone circuit.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 3 web addresses while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
The author declares on Modrinth that it shows advertisements.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code, text and assets
The author declares AI code, assets and text on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
The author says it uses AI in the game
The author declares AI features on Modrinth.
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include Handwerk - AoE Tools, Vein Miner, Ore Variants & Building Blocks in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
