    About

    Trinkets Updated is a data-driven accessory system that lets Minecraft mods add equipment slots to entities and define which items can use them. Its default slot groups cover the head, chest, legs, feet, offhand, and hand, with example slots for hats, face accessories, necklaces, capes, backpacks, belts, shoes, gloves, and rings; mods can also define custom groups and slots. Slots are requested by mods rather than appearing unused, and the interface can be styled with different slot positions, visibility, compatibility indicators, and optional slot and item tooltips. Mod and modpack creators can configure slots and groups through data, define custom trinkets with item tags or components, and provide their rendering through a resource pack. A model attachment API can render trinkets on body parts of entities, with compatibility noted for Entity Model Features and Fresh Animations. Optional cosmetic slots and equipment hiding can be enabled through configuration, while basic support for vanilla features such as glider components and enchantments helps items work as trinkets.
