About
Hoes Are Scythes lets you use any hoe to clear nearby foliage and crops in a single sweep, rather than breaking each block by hand. Using a hoe on grass-like blocks, including ferns, flowers, and dead bushes, also breaks similar blocks within a radius; sneaking limits the action to the single block you target. The area depends on hoe material: wooden and stone hoes affect a 3 × 3 area, iron and copper hoes a 5 × 5 area, diamond hoes a 7 × 7 area, and gold and netherite hoes a 9 × 9 area. Grass and crops are handled separately, so clearing grass leaves crops intact and harvesting crops does not remove surrounding grass; harvesting fully grown crops affects only other fully grown crops, while targeting an immature crop breaks crop blocks across the area. Fortune enchantments apply to blocks broken by the scythe action, and nether wart can also be harvested this way. The configurable radii can be adjusted or disabled, and the configuration can add modded hoes and other scythable blocks; changes can be applied with /reload or edited in-game with the optional Mod Menu and Cloth Config.
