    About

    Sounds upgrades Minecraft’s audio by adding more than 170 sound effects and improving existing ones across interfaces, chat messages, player actions, blocks, items, and other parts of the game. Its effects include block interaction sounds and dynamic item sounds, with documented examples covering foods, boats, minecarts, turtle armor, and scutes. Players can customize sound events and edit simple effects through a configuration screen or config files, while resource packs can change or extend dynamic block and item sounds. Resource-pack definitions also let creators add custom block sounds and build audio support for modded content. The mod runs client-side, so it does not need to be installed on a server.
