About
Hopo Better Mineshaft adds themed mineshaft types while leaving vanilla mineshafts unchanged, offering around 15 variations to discover, including versions found in deepslate layers. The added mineshafts feature varied paths and rooms, with examples including redstone builds and a trial-spawner room, and their pieces and generation have been revised to provide more variety. Exploration includes archaeology details such as suspicious gravel that can be brushed, stone floors with decorative materials, and added experience for finding a mineshaft. Loot includes pots, chests, improved loot tables, more than 20 distinctive banners, armor trims, sherds, and other unique items. Some mineshafts contain hostile encounters, including the Old Miner and Old Explorer, rare vindicators, and a tougher poisonous skeleton. Ore deposits vary by mineshaft type: for example, deepslate mineshafts can yield gold and redstone, while stone ones can yield lapis and iron. The mod is compatible with world-generation datapacks such as Terralith.
