Survive a medieval world by gathering supplies and growing stronger.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 211 graded mods, 158 are graded A or B, 37 C and 16 D to F. Its last update came out 23 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Aged is a challenging medieval survival and progression modpack that starts players in the Tales of Aged wilderness, where they gather supplies, make flint tools, and build up their skills and attributes through experience. Survival involves purifying water, maintaining hydration and balanced nutrition, avoiding spoiled food, managing body temperature, and adapting to seasonal changes that affect crops and make winter preparation important. Players develop their characters through skills and attributes, can take up to three jobs to gain experience faster, and can team up to share and earn experience. Exploration expands into reworked landscapes and biomes, including varied jungles, new cave environments, Nether biomes, and extensive End structures, alongside dungeons such as the Desert Dungeon, Masik's Puzzle Dungeon, and redesigned strongholds and pillager outposts. Combat scales with distance from the starting area, bringing stronger mobs and better loot, as well as more than six distinct boss fights; pillagers may also travel by boat. The pack adds practical ways to gather and manage resources, including sieves for filtering items, storage drawers and portable backpacks, gem upgrades that raise tool rarity, and archaeology that can uncover fossils and powerful enchantments. Settlement, wandering traders, and other trading opportunities complement farming and crafting, while furniture and decorative blocks from projects such as Let's Do, Another Furniture, Chipped, and Stoneworks support building and furnishing a home. An in-game guide book introduces the pack's systems, with dedicated screens for skills, crafting, mining, alchemy, jobs, and parties.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 1 Dec 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 4 Nov 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 220 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 211 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 11 of the 211 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
