A farming pack with crops, animals, fishing, and farm upgrades.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 307 graded mods, 263 are graded A or B, 38 C and 6 D to F. Its last update came out 3 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Society: Sunlit Valley is a farming-and-commerce Minecraft modpack built around growing a farm, selling its produce, and using earnings to buy items, improve equipment, and expand your operation. Its seasonal farming system features crops and fruit trees that grow on a daily schedule, with seasonal requirements, watering, fertilizer, and seed quality shaping what you can grow and sell. You can turn harvests and other resources into higher-value goods, including cooked foods, cheese, wine, and beer, and age products in casks to increase their value. Other ways to build a profitable farm include raising affection-based livestock, ranching more than 20 breeds of Splendid Slimes for Plorts and Largos, and cultivating fish in ponds for roe and other rewards. The pack also supports automated farms, while five custom skill trees for farming, mining, fishing, husbandry, and adventuring provide transformative perks as you progress. For mining, the custom Skull Cavern resets each morning; descend through increasingly dangerous and valuable areas by breaking boulders and finding ropes, with Iridium and Prismatic Shards among the rewards. A detailed quest book introduces progression and explains the pack’s mechanics, while bundles offer impactful rewards such as Greenhouse Glass. Players can build a village and invite customized villagers, interact with them to develop friendships, and use their individual shops; multiplayer support includes trading and ways to protect valuables. The pack also includes a café-management minigame inspired by Diner Dash and PlateUp!, along with butterfly and moth collecting and breeding mechanics.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 7 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 26 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 311 projects and the files in the pack itself.
The author declares on Modrinth that this modpack interacts with your system outside the game.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 303 of its mods.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 6 of the 303 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
13 other mods show AI use only from after this release (7 Oct 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
