Lunar events bring changing challenges and dangerous hordes to your world.

Horde Nights is a datapack-based Minecraft project that adds recurring Lunar Events, arriving every 30 to 45 days depending on difficulty, and challenges players to survive waves of modified mobs called the Horde. Events vary in character: some make the Horde substantially more powerful, while others are comparatively tame, and mob changes depend on both the event type and the selected difficulty. Players can also trigger an event early through a Blood Ritual involving both campfire types, though performing the ritual incorrectly can produce unexpected effects. The in-game configuration menu lets players set the pack difficulty or defer to game difficulty, adjust the Blood Moon interval, and toggle features including Cowardice and the Blood Ritual. Lunar Event encounters can include husks, drowned, zombies, and zombie villagers riding zombie horses; these riders have a 1-in-64 chance to appear instead of as walkers. The project adds its own advancements, while an optional BACAP integration supplies additional Super Challenges and a Creeper Overhaul integration brings 13 or 14 new creepers into the Horde. Optional integrations also add or adjust event behavior: Mo-Variants can provide unique Horde Effects, Mo-Critters prevents critter spawns during negative events, and Time Lib can automate Festive Moons in December and Natural Bunk Events on April 1.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 10 enchantments, 2 recipes, 66 advancements and 90 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Fewer modpacks put it in their new versions than a year ago: 1 a month now, 5 a year agoThe average of the last 6 months, compared with the same 6 months a year before. We say it only when the change is large..
104 modpacks include Horde Nights in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.
Mods that modpacks often add together with Horde Nights. Share: how many of the modpacks with Horde Nights also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 2 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
