Immortuos Calyx is a survival-horror mod centered on a parasite that gradually infects players and other entities, taking control of hosts and causing changes that can be harmful or, in some circumstances, beneficial. Infection can come from being hit by uncommon infected creatures found on land and in the sea, or from consuming their drops; if infection takes over or kills a sufficiently infected player, an infected human may appear wearing that player's name and skin. The infection affects movement, strength and damage resistance, with effects shaped by temperature: warm environments bring particular drawbacks, while cold environments can be advantageous, and advanced infection can prevent drowning. The mod also adds genetic research: a Rusk Co. Research Facility in villages houses a Gene Encoder and serves as a workplace for the Genetic Researcher, who supplies materials for research and infection care. Players can use a Gene Ripper to harvest unidentified genes from entities, then identify, refine or combine gene vials at the Encoder; vials may have varying potency or contamination, and removing implanted genes causes organ damage. Gene Splicers provide slots for implanting genes that grant traits from other creatures, including zombie-like armor, ocelot-like speed, turtle-like protection in water, and frog-like higher jumps while crouching. Contaminations can add serious drawbacks, such as burning in sunlight, lethal reactions to large amounts of water, reduced health, increased damage taken, or slower movement after a fall. Some genes can also help manage infection, including the Immortuos Gene, which can sometimes halt its progression; the system draws inspiration from Barotrauma's genetic implants.

Changes the game's code in 5 areas: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 3 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act., PlayerChanges 2 game code files in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls., Networking and multiplayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server., Inventory and itemsChanges 1 game code file in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting. and Server and world logicChanges 1 game code file in this area: the world, commands, scoreboards, saved data and game rules..
Libraries packed inside it change 6 more game code files: Cardinal Components API (entities) and Cardinal Components API (items).
Adds 2 blocks, 13 items, 2 mobs, 9 recipes, 2 loot tables and 7 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
