Kings & Monsters is an adventure and progression mod built around an organized Ogre Tribe whose members defend their territory, respond to player actions, and rally under the Ogre King. The faction includes Grunts, Archers, Mages, Brutes, Grunt Captains, Guards, a Merchant, and the King, with distinct combat roles ranging from direct charges and ranged support to leadership and heavy defense. Raiding outposts for tribute or killing Ogres raises shared faction anger and brings stronger patrols, while defeating hostile patrols, trading for an Ogre Truce, or waiting can restore calmer relations. Outposts in plains and swamps have different layouts and are led by a Grunt Captain, Mage, or Brute; their guarded treasure supplies early Ogre materials and trophies, and a Plains Outpost provides a dependable Fort Map route to the royal stronghold. The Merchant offers changing stock that includes supplies, relics, Fort Maps, and temporary peace, with goods available for gold, diamonds, and Golden Ogre Teeth. Progression leads through the guarded Ogre Fort and its Royal Defence trials to a multi-stage fight against the Ogre King, whose defeat breaks his claim over Bog Iron and unlocks its recovery. Bog Iron can be worked into tools, weapons, storage blocks, and armor, with each armor piece offering a chance to prevent Poison. The mod also includes combat trophies and unusual relics, such as the Ogre Tooth Necklace, Brute Heart, Bogfume Charm, Archer’s Buckler, Bog-Eye Charm, and Warcaller Bell; many can be equipped in Curios slots. Distinctive equipment includes a 27-slot Ogre Merchant Backpack, an Ogreblood Totem that can prevent a near-death defeat, the throwable Hunter’s Spear, the life-feeding Iron Maw, and the King’s ground-slam Club. An in-game Patchouli Compendium explains the mod’s creatures, equipment, items, and faction systems, and the mod supports multiplayer.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 6 blocks, 42 items, 8 mobs, 3 structures, 3 enchantments, 22 recipes, 6 advancements, 30 loot tables, 22 sounds and 2 key bindings.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
