    About

    Launchpad is a developer tool for running small to medium-sized Fabric mods on NeoForge when they need little or no porting, rather than a general-purpose compatibility layer or a replacement for a native NeoForge port. It reads Fabric metadata from fabric.mod.json, translates it into NeoForge metadata at runtime, resolves dependencies, and runs standard and custom mod entrypoints, including support for common pre-launch tasks such as loading native libraries or additional Mixin configurations. Launchpad also supports Class Tweakers or Access Wideners and nested jar dependencies, and adjusts registration timing so Fabric mod entrypoints can register game objects on NeoForge. For compatibility, it supplies Fabric Loader API access through Forgified Fabric Loader, supports Fabric-style enum extensions, and provides FluidTypes for fluids that lack a handler or their own type. Developers can use metadata overrides for loader-specific values such as a mod name or dependencies, while Launchpad’s automatic normalization can adjust mod and dependency IDs to NeoForge’s required format. Launchpad does not modify a mod’s code or jar, so authors remain responsible for resolving code-level compatibility issues, and the tool is best suited to mods that do not rely extensively on NeoForge APIs.
