Adds various new mobs to make the world feel more alive.
69.3 of the 71 points that apply = 98 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
LivingThings adds a broad range of animals and unusual creatures to make Minecraft’s world feel more alive, from elephants, giraffes, lions, monkeys and ostriches to sharks, penguins, seahorses, crabs and mantarays, alongside owls, raccoons, snails, peacocks, Shroomies, a Nether Knight, an Ancient Blaze and a baby Ender Dragon. The new mobs have distinct behaviors: sharks hunt nearby players, monkeys can be tamed and dance near music boxes, Shroomies plant mushrooms, and raccoons may raid ostrich nests. Some animals can be tamed or ridden, including elephants that can carry a saddle and chest, while ostriches run quickly, build nests and lay eggs that can hatch into chicks. The additions also bring related items such as animal meats, crab shells, ostrich eggs, shark teeth, bananas and a fire-resistance helmet dropped by the Ancient Blaze. A craftable in-game lexicon provides information about the mod’s mobs and items, and opens a mob’s corresponding entry when used on it.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 4 areas: World generationChanges 1 game code file in this area: terrain, biomes and structures made when new land is created., Rendering and graphicsChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen., PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls. and Mobs and their behaviorChanges 1 game code file in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds 1 block, 37 items, 20 mobs, 1 projectile, 18 recipes, 21 loot tables and 44 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
