Learn elemental magic and cast spells with books and wands.

MagicBooks2 adds elemental magic to Minecraft, letting players learn spells, build mana infrastructure, and use magic-powered tools. Use books of Air, Earth, Fire, Water, and Arcane to gain skill points, then spend those points in the spell interface to unlock spells; the spell bag provides dedicated storage for spell items. Cast unlocked spells with a wand by placing the matching spell item beside it in the hotbar, with the wand and spell required to share an element. The available spells include Lightning, which smites the targeted block or entity, and Invisibility for Air; Earth’s Grow spell speeds crop growth, while Wall summons a temporary barrier. Fireblast sets nearby mobs on fire, and Water’s Bubble grants brief invulnerability. Shard ores provide elemental shards for crafting and mana generation, while greater crystals generate mana from matching shards and connected crystals transport it. Mana pads draw from the nearest crystal to infuse players with mana, which they need to cast spells and activate certain tool abilities. Mana also powers runes: Rune of Drowning damages and immobilizes mobs above it, while Rune of Lumber fells nearby trees and can send the drops into an adjacent inventory. Element-infused pickaxes have specialized effects: Air draws items toward the player, Earth mines a large area, Fire smelts ores automatically, and Water replaces mined obsidian with water. Pedestals and crystals are used in crafting rituals to create blocks and items, and the ritual recipes are available through JEI.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds 30 blocks, 35 items, 28 recipes and 5 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
