Villagers with more personal conversations that remember what you discuss.

MCA: Conversations expands the social and dialogue systems of MCA: Reborn, replacing its Chat button with a hub of conversations while leaving MCA hearts as the authoritative relationship measure. Villagers can discuss everyday life, work, food preferences, village events, dreams and fears, personal histories, relationships, and local gossip, with available topics shaped by age, profession, and your relationship with them. Replies can change how a conversation unfolds: villagers respond to support, disagreement, apologies, or boundary-pushing, and some outcomes depend on relationship, mood, and other context rather than automatically awarding hearts for asking questions. Each villager has persistent personality traits, interests, values, comforts, and aversions that influence both their wording and how they approach other characters, so villagers with the same profession need not sound alike. Villagers remember subjects, choices, promises, apologies, shared experiences, and unresolved disagreements, and may raise a due promise, unfinished conversation, personal change, or village news in a later encounter. Villages develop local traditions, values, landmarks, festivals, concerns, and disagreements; villagers can pass along news of marriages, deaths, births, arrivals, departures, and supported quest events, while information can lose confidence as it spreads. The mod also offers optional typed-chat conversations using deterministic, datapack-driven topic matching, alongside a configurable conversation interface with numbered choices, keyboard and mouse navigation, paging, optional portraits, and adjustable text reveal, motion, and sound. Profession-aware dialogue includes vanilla and modded professions such as those from More Villagers, Ars Nouveau, Chef's Delight, Ice and Fire, Vampirism, and Werewolves; unknown modded professions can still receive generic profession-aware dialogue. Optional integrations add context from MCA: Quests, MCA: Reputation, Townstead, and Serene Seasons, while datapacks can extend topics, branching responses, memories, gossip, promises, relationship conditions, and other dialogue behavior.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: User interfaceChanges 2 game code files in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay. and PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
mcaconversations-1.8.0.jar, CurseForge mcaconversations-1.8.0.jar. 6 classes changed, 2 classes only in the Modrinth file, in dev.otectus.mcaconversations: CivicBridge, KingdomBridge, CivicContextSource, ConversationDirector, WorkEpisodeGenerator, VillageCulture, KingdomsIdentity$Generation (Modrinth only), KingdomsIdentity (Modrinth only). We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code, text and assets
The author declares AI code, assets and text on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
