    About

    Midnight Lurker Fabricated is an unofficial Fabric port that adds a horror-focused mob, which can appear at night or in caves and behaves differently depending on how the player reacts to it. The Lurker may teleport away when watched, but approaching it without looking can provoke a chase; some variants can climb, break doors or glass, crawl through tight spaces, or tunnel underground to reach the player. Its named variants bring different encounters: the Shadow stalks players in dark places, the Hider sinks into the ground, the Shapeshifter can pose as a village trader or as a pig or cow, and the Phantom Head floats toward players who look at it. An insanity system progresses through encounters and a timer, with sleep pausing progression until another Neutral Lurker appears; food and fishing can reduce insanity, while later stages bring threats such as the Faker and Aggressive Lurker and the Amnesia effect. Lurkers can leave behind Void Gateways, which may jumpscare the player or reduce an insanity stage, while the related Void Hands can emerge and pursue nearby players. Configuration options let players adjust spawn rates, chase music and duration, jumpscare visuals and sounds, multiple spawns, insanity timing and effects, and whether most Lurkers can be attacked.
