Neo Origins reimplements the Origins experience for NeoForge, letting players choose a character origin with distinctive abilities and drawbacks, alongside a separate class that adds another layer of traits. Its built-in origins range from familiar choices such as Merling, Avian, Elytrian, Enderian and Arachnid to more specialized options including Abyssal, Umbral, Necromancer, Gravity Mage and Sword Immortal; examples of their powers include underwater breathing, gliding, wall climbing, summoning, gravity wells and sword-based flight. The 20 built-in classes include combat roles such as Warrior, Archer and Berserker, as well as Explorer, Miner, Herbalist, Cook, Merchant and Paladin, with effects such as improved mining, crop growth, trade restocking, equipment bonuses and starting supplies. Origin abilities cover passive traits and active skills, including flight, status effects, damage changes, biome-specific effects, minion summons and toggled powers; players can also use a cooldown HUD and origin information screen to review their abilities. Players can progress through advancement-triggered origin upgrades, while servers can optionally assign origins at random when players join or die. Aquatic origins such as Merling, Abyssal, Kraken and Siren use a dry-out mechanic, with configuration for its drain rate and the damage caused by drying out. The mod also supports mob origins: datapacks can attach powers, spawn rules and drops to living mobs, with spawn conditions based on factors such as biome, structure, dimension, time, height and light. Origins and powers are defined in JSON and can be overridden with datapacks; existing Origins content packs can be loaded from the configured origin-packs folder, and changes can be applied with a server reload. Pack authors can build player and mob origins with a browser-based editor or an in-game mob-origin creator, and customize origin-screen themes and resource-bar styles. With Dragon Survival installed, three additional origins let players become cave, forest or sea dragons, using that mod for their dragon traits, growth and abilities.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its text
The author declares AI text on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
