Netherite Extras is a vanilla-friendly mod that expands Netherite’s late-game uses with powerful, costly upgrades intended to stay balanced. It adds Netherite Nuggets, crafted nine from an ingot, which can repair Netherite tools, serve as multiplayer currency, and drop from Piglin Brutes; the drop chance is configurable. Wolf Armor can be upgraded in a Smithing Table to Netherite Wolf Armor, which retains its protection, has twice the durability, can be repaired with Nuggets, and is fireproof. Diamond Horse Armor can likewise be upgraded to Netherite Horse Armor for greater protection from damage, especially lava. Upgrading a Totem of Undying with Netherite creates a Totem of Neverdying that works like the original but can be used four times. Golden Apples can be upgraded to Netherite Apples for stronger, longer-lasting effects and Fire Resistance, while Enchanted Golden Apples can become Enchanted Netherite Apples with stronger, longer-lasting effects and additional short-duration effects.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 3 areas: Inventory and itemsChanges 4 game code files in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting., Mobs and their behaviorChanges 2 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and Networking and multiplayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server..
Adds 6 items: Enchanted Netherite Apple, Netherite Apple, Netherite Horse Armor, Netherite Nugget, Netherite Wolf Armor and Totem of Neverdying; 7 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
